Nine-man Chelsea booked their place in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup following a 5-3 penalty shootout win against Norwich City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
Nigeria star Victor Moses was rested for the match, not included in the matchday squad.
The game finished in a 1-1 draw and penalties were needed to separate both teams after 120 minutes of football.
Chelsea finished with nine players after both Pedro Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata were sent off in extra time.
Michy Batshuayi opened scoring for the Blues the 55th minute following a low near post cross by Kenedy.
Jamal Lewis equalised for Norwich City in the final minute of stoppage time, nodding home Timm Klose’s cross.
In the shoot out, Chelsea scored all five kicks, while Norwich City were only able to convert three.
The Blues will host Newcastle United in the next round.
At the Liberty Stadium, Swansea beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 to progress to the next round where they will meet Notts County.
Jordan Ayew bagged the opening goal in the 11 minutes, while Diogo Jota levelled scores for Wolves in the 66th minute.
Ivorian forward Wilfred Bony scored the winner three minutes later.
Wigan also progressed to the next round courtesy of a 3-0 win against Bournemouth at the DW Stadium.
