By Daily Sports on December 30, 2017

Nigeria international Izunna Uzochukwu is preparing to bid farewell to Danish Super Liga club Odense Boldklub in the January transfer window, according to a report by allnigeriasoccer.com.

Quoting an inside source, the paper reported that Odense have accepted a bid in the region of 200,000 euros for the defensive midfielder and he has been granted permission to discuss personal terms with his would-be employer.

Uzochukwu joined OB in January 2016 and has contractual obligations with the club until June 30, 2019.

The 27-year-old will join the growing list of Nigeria internationals in China including John Obi Mikel, Brown Ideye, Obafemi Martins and Odion Ighalo, if the transfer does not fall through.

This season, Uzochukwu has played 16 games for OB's first-team, scoring one goal and logging 973 minutes.
