Victor Moses is revelling in the pride of making his 100th appearance for Chelsea during the 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Tuesday.
The Nigeria international became the sixth African after Didier Drogba, John Obi Mikel, Celestine Babayaro, Salomon Kalou and Michael Essien to reach this milestone with the Roman Army.
Moses was on from start to finish as goals from Alvaro Morata and Marcos Alonso handed the Blues a comfortable win over Chris Hughton’s men.
He revelled in the landmark appearance, publishing a photo on Twitter with the accompanying caption: “Back to winning ways today to celebrate Christmas. Proud to make my 100th appearance for the club too.”
The former Wigan man moved to Stamford Bridge in 2013, having shined with the Latics. There, he was loaned to Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United after failing to tie down a regular place in the squad.
And on return to Stamford Bridge, he has been an indispensable part of the Roman Army’s set-up and helped the team win the league diadem last season.
Chelsea are third on the log with 42 points from 20 matches. (Goal.com)
