Nwakali’s lack of playing time worries Arsenal

By Daily Sports on December 19, 2017

The technical crew of Arsenal are worried over the lack of game time Kelechi Nwakali is experiencing at top division Dutch league side VVV Venlo, where he is presently out on loan.

Nwakali joined the team on a season long loan in the summer after impressing for another Dutch side MVV Maastrich last season ‎, as they narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight in the Netherlands.

However this season, he has found games hard to comeby at VVV Venlo with only nine appearances to his name in the league, while he has made two appearances for the team in the Dutch Cup.

Although he has found the back of the net once, his lack of regular action is said to be causing the hierarchy at Arsenal to be worried over his progress at the newly promoted side, who are presently 12th on the league log in Holland.

The 19 year old would be hoping for a change of fortune in the new year, with many suggesting a fine run of form could see him gatecrash the Super Eagles squad for the World Cup in Russia next year.

Last season he made 29 appearances for MVV Maastricht. A tally he might likely not clock at his present loan side as the league is already 17 games old and he has just nine appearances to his name. (Owngoal)
