Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, J.P., has congratulated the new Chairman of Lagos State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Debo Oshundun, and other members of the state executive on their election.
Chief Ejidike described their election as a well deserved one which they must use to uplift the association and sports development in Nigeria.
He noted that “Lagos State is very strategic in Nigeria” and that anyone saddled with the opportunity to lead any of the associations there has a greater responsibility to deliver. He urged Oshundun to see his election as an opportunity to serve and not to consider anyone as an adversary hence he should carry everybody along in all programmes.
“The Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports would support the Lagos SWAN in all its activities,” Ejidike said. He urged the Oshundun-led executive to come up with programmes that would enhance rapid sports development not only in Lagos State but in Nigeria in general.
