Football Union holds Russia 2018 World Cup Seminar

A national seminar on Russia 2018 World Cup is to be organised by the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers (NANPF).

The theme of the seminar is “Strategising for Super Eagles of Nigeria’s semi-final outing in the Russia 2018 World Cup”.

According to the President of NANPF, Comrade Dahiru Sadi, the seminar is expected to hold from February 21 to February 24, 2018.

Comrade Sadi explained that eminent Nigerians will be expected to present papers on several topics that will help to ginger the Super Eagles’ handlers to prepare the Nigerian national team on the road to be the first African side to be in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Sadi said the seminar is one of the ways the footballers’ union will add value to the preparations of the fire-brand Super Eagles towards the impending global soccer war.

His words: “We want to align with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Super Eagles with the great job they are doing so far.

“We want to contribute intellectually to the team’s preparations. The Eagles need every support, the reason we feel, we should give what we have.

“We absolutely believe, we shall conquer with good preparations. God knows, we have never been so desperate to have victories upon victories in the past.”

Nigeria qualified for the 2018 World Cup with a match to spare.

Eagles have played in five out of the six last World Cups since 1994.

Nigeria missed out of the 2006 World Cup due to head to head rule against Angola.
