Spurs, Arsenal battle for Goretzka

By Daily Sports on November 5, 2017

Tottenham Hotspur are set to join Arsenal in the race to sign Leon Goretzka from Schalke, The Mirror  reports.

The 22-year-old has long been a target for the Gunners and continues to attract interest from across Europe. Spurs are said to have watched all of his games this term and could make a move as his contract expires at the end of the season.

Real Betis are planning on making another move for Jack Wilshere, according to The Sun .

The Arsenal midfielder rejected a move to the Spanish side in the previous transfer window in order to stay in north London. The 25-year-old has returned to action after his recovery from injury, but is yet to secure a place in the starting XI.

In the final year of his contract and with a World Cup coming up, Betis will return in January to try to snap him up or sign an agreement for him to join them ahead of next season.
