Agali advises Musa to seek playing time outside Leicester

By Daily Sports on October 28, 2017

Victor Agali has counselled Leicester City’s Ahmed Musa to consider a ‘favourable’ move away from the King Power Stadium after struggling for regular playing time.

The former CSKA Moscow forward is yet to play a game for the Foxes in the Premier League this campaign after featuring in 21 league games in his debut season in England.

Musa was an unused substitute in Michael Appleton’s side Carabao Cup win over Leeds United after making his maiden appearance for Leicester City U23s in their victory over Chelsea U23s in September.

With Nigeria’s qualification for next year’s World Cup in Russia, the former Schalke 04 and Nice attacker thinks the Nigeria international needs a move to secure his regular playing time irrespective of the tier.

“A move away from Leicester City will be very favourable for him [Ahmed Musa],” Agali told Goal.

“He still has till the end of this year to make a choice if to go on loan to other clubs in the Championship or stay in the Premier League. It is left for him.

“He's had a good career himself and good appearances with the Super Eagles. You can’t take away the fact that he is a very good player, sometimes it is important we watch the moves we make towards the end of the career.

“He understands the situation at Leicester City better than anyone and he knows why he is not playing at the moment.

“I believe he should look for somewhere else to play regularly and get his match fitness, but it does not really matter if he joins a team lower than Leicester City because all you need is your playing time."(GOAL)
