Rafael Everton promises to transform Abia Warriors

By Daily Sports on October 25, 2017

Brazilian coach Rafael Everton has promised to transform Abia Warriors into one of the top clubs in the NPFL after he formally signed a two-year contract with the Umuahia outfit.

Club chairman Emeka Inyama said that after the club have featured in the NPFL for the past four seasons, it was imperative they are now contending for the championship.

And in his response, Everton, who previously handled FC Ifeanyiubah, said he has come to Umuahia with the intention of making the club one of the best in the land adding that he was happy with what he has seen on the ground.

Everton, who also played for Sport Club Do Recife before he hung his boots as a player, said he recognizes the challenges before him as the new Abia Warriors coach and hoped he would help the club realize their ambition to at least get one of the continental slots at the end of the season.

Last season, Abia Warriors finished 12th in the 20-team championship.
