Ogenyi Onazi returned to action for Turkish club Trabzonspor Saturday after he was injured on duty with the Super Eagles recently.
Onazi was forced out of the Eagles decisive 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Uyo earlier this month.
He later announced he had regained full fitness earlier than expected.
The midfielder started Saturday at newly promoted Yeni Malatyaspor, but was replaced after an hour of action.
Onazi’s club lost 1-0 and they are now hovering around the relegation zone in 13th place with nine points from as many matches.
