Chairman of Red Carpet Advertising and former member of the Board of the Nigeria Football Association (NFA), Prince Isidore Oduah, has lost his brother, Prince Frank Oduah. The younger Oduah died on Friday, September 15, 2017.
According to the heavily shaken former member of Anambra State Sports Council, his late younger brother visited him the previous Friday, during which they extensively discussed important family issues which they planned to execute this month.
The visibly shaken Isidore Oduah told Daily Sports: “I am terribly confused and even dumbfounded because he never showed any sign of weakness, not to talk of death. I have since never been in the frame of mind because it hit me like a thunderbolt. Prince Frank’s demise will continue to leave a sour taste in my mouth. I am still shocked to my bone marrow, finding it extremely difficult to believe that my beloved younger brother who does nothing without consulting me is no more.
“Since the news of his death was broken to me by his children, I have kept saying to nobody else, this world sef! He was a very kind and down to earth individual. He never picks quarrel with people as his level of diplomacy was unprecedented.
“The world has further collapsed on my head. Prince Frank’s death is bitter to me and again has shaken my foundation. He treated me like his elder brother in every sense of the word, making me to feel at ease. He visited me to know how I fared as we relaxed and rubbed minds in true brotherly atmosphere. I don’t know what has happened. My younger brother just left without a word for me. It is still worrisome to me as I mourn. Where do I go from here? I am so demoralised as we speak to say the very least.”
Oduah, who once served as the Vice Chairman of Anambra State Football Association, added that his late brother was a highly respected person and was so loved by all that came across him in his former work place, later as a businessman and in the Catholic family.
The Financial Secretary of the Association of Sports Veterans Nigeria recalled that his late brother was dearly loved by Alanza and Agaba Igwe family.
“He was President of Ogbaru Union, Lagos branch, President, Ochuche Development Union, Lagos branch and also Secretary General of Agaba Igwe Family Ochuche, Lagos,” Prince Isidore Oduah said of late Prince Frank Oduah.
“He retired from Mobil Oil and went straight into private practice until his sudden death. He is survived by his wife and six children. He was a devout Catholic member who was tested, trusted and was a very reliable brother, too. He died at the age of 69.”
