By Daily Sports on August 18, 2017

Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed that they are interested in signing Ghanaian free agent Kevin-Prince Boateng.

The former Black Stars attacking midfielder is without a club after parting ways with Spanish side Las Palmas on Wednesday, citing personal reasons for his departure.

"I can confirm we are busy with the name Kevin-Prince Boateng and are working on it," said Frankfurt coach Niko Kovac, who played alongside Boateng at Hertha Berlin in the early years of the Ghanaian’s career.

Frankfurt are in the market for an attacking midfielder following an injury sustained by Mexican Marco Fabian, who is set to miss two months of action.

"We have lost Fabian and we're looking what is on the market," added Kovac.

"I know Boateng, you just have to look at where he has played for the last few years."

There is no need to talk about his footballing qualities."Boateng, 30, has also represented top clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Schalke 04 during his career.
