Lobi Stars head coach Solomon Ogbeide is satisfied with the away draw at top-flight newcomers Gombe United.
The Pride of Benue were held to a barren draw by the Desert Scorpions in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 32 clash at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe.
Ogbeide said the away draw has steadied the side on the path to realise their season’s dream of a continental spot.
“The goalless draw at Gombe United is a good away result for us.“
I think we are heading to our season’s desire with the away point. The desire is to continue winning our matches and going to the continent at the end of the season.
“We almost grabbed the three points at Enyimba before a careless distraction helped the home side to come from behind to win.“
The same thing repeated itself in the home draw against league leading side Plateau United.
“Well, we know what to do in subsequent matches to ensure we continue to get the desired result.“
I think we are on the right path and we will keep to it till the end of the league season,” said the former Akwa United and Sunshine Stars coach to supersport.com.
