Eagles coach detained by police over Rangers official car, other properties

By Daily Sports on July 20, 2017

Super Eagles assistant coach Imama Amapakabo is presently in police detention in Abuja for allegedly being in possession of a car belonging to Enugu Rangers and other properties several months after he was sacked by the NPFL club says SCORENigeria.

According to the paper, a police team from Enugu arrested the coach in Abuja Wednesday on the request of Rangers to recover government properties including an official car still being held by the coach.

They claim he is in “unlawful possession” of the car and other properties belonging to the Enugu State Government.

It would be recalled that Imama has petitioned the League Management Company (LMC) over his payoff from Rangers which has not been forthcoming despite the contract he has with them.

Quoting a top source, SCORENigeria said the police will move him to Enugu Thursday.

Imama is involved with the CHAN Eagles who will open training camp in Kano on Monday.
