Rivers United scraped a 1-0 home win over title chasers MFM FC in a rearranged NPFL clash Wednesday in Port Harcourt to move out of the relegation pack.
Rivers United have now shot to 14th on the table with 36 points from 26 matches, while MFM FC are second with 46 points, five points behind leaders Plateau United.
Christian Weli was the match winner for Rivers United, when he hit target after half an hour from close range with an assist from Lukman Mohammed.
The home team also had central defender Gabriel Olalekan sent off three minutes from time after he bagged his second booking of the day. (SCORENigeria)
