Gyan joins Turkey’s Kayserispor

By Daily Sports on July 7, 2017

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has signed a two-year contract with Turkish club Kayserispor.

The Black Stars captain joins from Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG, having spent last season on loan at United Arab Emirates club Al Ahli.

The transfer will see Gyan return to Europe for the first time since 2012, having spent the last five years in Asian football.

“Our President, Dr Erol Bedir has reached personal terms with world famous footballer Asamoah Gyan to join Kayserispor,” read an official statement from the club.

“We have agreed a two-year deal with an option of addition one year with the Ghanaian.”

Kayserispor will hope Gyan’s arrival helps them rise up the Super Lig table, with the club having finished just above the relegation zone in the last two years.
