Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head coach Fatai Amoo has expressed satisfaction with his side's performance against top-flight team Wikki Tourists. The Oluyole Warriors defeated the Bauchi Elephants 2-0 in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 27 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan.
Two first-half goals from Ajani Ibrahim and Bode Daniel was enough to hand the Ibadan landlords the three points at stake.
Amoo said his side must go all out to pick up away points to stand a good chance of coming out of the woods.
“The result is electrifying, however, we must sustain the momentum by going all out to get vital points on the road, that’s the surest way for us to get out of the dilemma we find ourselves in.“
It was really tough against Wikki Tourists as the Bauchi side threw everything at us.
“I think we are improving steadily, especially in goal scoring though there is still room for further improvement.“
Four goals in the last two home matches without conceding any goals are quite heart-warming.
“I’m already thinking of the next difficult match at champions Enugu Rangers, but if we continue on the current form there is no reason we would not come back with something positive.“
So we are happy with the outcome of today’s match against Wikki Tourists and we will fight hard to keep the pace in other matches,” said the former Sunshine Stars coach.
The win against the Bauchi landlords takes 3SC's total earnings to 32 points from possible 81 in the 27-week-old top-flight. © supersport.com
