Beijing coach wants fans to be patient with new signing Anichebe

Beijing Enterprises FC manager Hongbo Gao has called on the fans to be patient with the club’s new signing Victor Anichebe to regain full fitness.

Gao said Anichebe is a top-notch striker, but he will need time to get back to his full fitness after another injury-troubled season in the Premier League with Sunderland.

“Victor (Anichebe) hasn’t trained since the Premier League season ended, so it may take him time to integrate into our team. We have to be patient with him,” said the coach.

“We are delighted with the signing of Victor (Anichebe), who has played in the Premier League.

“It’s a positive development for our club.”

He joined on a free transfer after he was released by Sunderland.

He will return to the club to start training fully after he signed the deal.
