British world number one Andy Murray says winning the Aegon Championships for a sixth time will give him a "big boost" heading into the defence of his Wimbledon title.
Top seed and defending champion Murray faces compatriot Aljaz Bedene in the first round at Queen's Club on Tuesday.
Murray faces a "tough field" which includes French Open finalist and world number three Stan Wawrinka.
"It's helped me prepare for Wimbledon every year in my career," said Murray.
Murray, 30, has won at Queen's in both of the years he has gone on to claim the Wimbledon title, while the likes of John McEnroe and Rafael Nadal have also done the grass-court double in London.
"I've played some of my best tennis over the years here," Murray told BBC Sport.
"It's a tough, tough field and if you can get through this tournament then it does give you a big boost going into Wimbledon."
Murray, who beat Bedene, the British number four, in straight sets at last year's Aegon Championships, says it's "nice to be at home for a few weeks" for the grass court season.
"It's obviously a lot of pressure at this time of year, a lot of expectation and attention," said Murray, who is bidding to win a a third Wimbledon, to equal Fred Perry's British record.
"But I have the escape of being able to get back home and stay in my own bed and be with my family and have the support of my friends and family at all of my matches, so that's the best part about this period of the year."
