Most wanted coach in Nigeria, Imama Amapakabo will tomorrow morning open discussions with Rangers over a new contract.
Imama, 43, led Rangers to win the Nigeria league earlier this month to end a 32-year wait for a major trophy.
It was in his first full season in charge of ‘The Flying Antelopes’.
He took a huge pay cut to earn a million Naira monthly.
“Rangers will begin talks for a new contract with Imama on Friday as his contract ended with the final game of the season at home against El Kanemi Warriors,” disclosed a top official.
Kano Pillars and promoted Gombe United have already sounded out the former Sharks goalkeeper, who is also an assistant coach in the Super Eagles.
But top officials including Enugu State sports commissioner, Charles Ndukwe have made it clear they are ready to match whatever offer tabled for the young coach.
“Whatever any club looking for him want to pay, we can better it,” maintained a confident Ndukwe.
Rangers will represent Nigeria in next year's CAF Champions League.
