West Ham United are now favourites to beat Arsenal and several other Premier League clubs to the signature of Nigeria striker Henry Onyekuru, according to reports from England.

Sky Sports have quoted sources as now saying West Ham will beat London city rivals to sign Onyekuru from Belgian club KAS Eupen.

The report stated that Onyekuru and his handlers have demanded an assurance from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger the player will enjoy regular game time at the London Gunners.

Onyekuru is a long-time Arsenal with Gunners legend Thierry Henry his childhood idol.

Swansea City and Chelsea have also joined the chase, but West Ham may now have sneaked in to snatch the exciting Nigeria forward.

Onyekuru had earlier said he will decided on his future after Saturday’s AFCON qualifier against South Africa in Uyo.

He is in line for his official debut for Nigeria after he played for the Eagles in friendlies against Corsica and Togo last week.
