Agbaji talks tough ahead MFM tie

By Daily Sports on June 7, 2017

Lobi Stars central defender, Anthony Agbaji has said his side will repay in their own coin top-flights, Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministries (MFM) FC.

The Pride of Benue are hosts of the Olukoya Boys in Wednesday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 23 clash at the Aper Aku Stadium in Makurdi.

The Makurdi landlords were humbled 0-4 their heaviest defeat in the on-going top-flight when they visited the Lagos outfit in the first fixture clash at the Agege Township Stadium in Lagos.

Agbaji said his side are better performers in the second stanza of the top-flight compared with the first term to be able to even score with the visitors, MFM FC.

“We lost heavily with four unreplied goals to MFM FC in the first fixture clash in Lagos which still hurts us till date.

“We are mindful of the humbling in their hands and hope to pay them back exactly in their own coin.

“Lobi Stars in the second stanza of the league are better performers compared with the first term campaign.

“I strongly believe we have what it takes to get as many as four or more goals as we conceded against them on Wednesday in Makurdi.

“However, beyond the urge to get even on goal margin we will not compromise on the three points at stake.

“Although both sides will be coming into the clash on different strength, MFM are still buoyed with the victory against FC IfeanyiUbah while we still rue the painful loss at Kano Pillars”.
