Kelechi Iheanacho not wanted at Manchester City

Nigerian star Kelechi Iheanacho has reportedly been told he is surplus to requirements at Manchester City.

The Super Eagles attacker saw little playing time with the Citizens this past season and is clearly behind Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero in the pecking order.

As a result he has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium and the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and West Ham United have been mentioned as possible destinations.

Allnigeriasoccer.com quotes a source close to the player who claims that he is not in City’s planning for the 2017/18 campaign.

“Kelechi did not travel to Manchester during the Super Eagles training camp to hand in a transfer request, already he has been told he is not in Guardiola's plans for next season,” claims the source.

”City are still studying all offers but will only accept a deal from any club that agrees with their buy-back clause.

“His agents are in talks with West Ham to come to some sort of a deal.”

Iheanacho is currently on international duty with Nigeria as they prepare for next weekend’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
