Bologna have turned down a seven million Euros bid from Inter Serie A club, Milan for shinning Nigeria youngster Orji Okonkwo, according to a report by SCORENigeria.

Okonkwo, 19, made nine league appearances for Bologna on his season in Europe and provided the assist for his team’s opening goal at champions Juventus while playing the entire game on the final day of the Serie A.

Nigeria Olympic star Sadiq Umar, on loan from Roma, made seven appearances for the same team.

Bolonga finished 15th on the Serie A table, nine points clear of the relegated Empoli.

“Bologna have turned down a massive offer of about seven million Euros by Inter Milan for Orji,” a top source close to the player’s agent informed SCORENigeria

“They have so much trust and hope in the boy as they see him as the future of the club and that is why they do not want to sell.”

Okonkwo has featured for Nigeria U17 and U20 teams and was a key member of the Golden Eaglets team who won the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile in style.

He also caught the eye at the recent U19 Viareggio Tournament.
