Iheanacho rejoins Eagles, Osimhen also expected

By Daily Sports on May 29, 2017

Kelechi Iheanacho will return to the Super Eagles training camp in Paris, France, Monday after he was excused apparently to sort out his future at Premier League club Manchester City.

A team official told SCORENigeria Iheanacho, who scored Nigeria’s equaliser against hosts Corsica on Friday night, was allowed to fly back to England when the team landed in Paris from Ajaccio yesterday afternoon.

“The agreement is for the player to return to the camp tomorrow,” the official said.

“He will be back for the Togo friendly.”

Meanwhile, speculations have been rife that Victor Osimhen could soon switch clubs with West Ham United in pole position to sign him, but nothing has yet been confirmed.

In the meantime, he is also expected to meet with the Eagles after his German club’s relegation-promotion playoffs Sunday.

Osimhen’s club Wolfsburg are fighting for their Bundesliga lives.

They beat Bundesliga 2 side Eintracht Braunschweig 1-0 at home in the first leg.

The overall winners will play in the Bundesliga next season.
