Victor Osimhen makes Wolfsburg debut

By Daily Sports on May 14, 2017

Wolfsburg starlet Victor Osimhen made his debut as Andries Jonker brought on for 31 minutes against Borussia Moenchengladbach.

The 18-year-old replaced Daniel Didavi at Volkswagen Arena with both teams playing a 1-1 draw thanks to Mario Gomez’s equaliser after the visitors had taken the lead through Jannik Vestergaard.

However his bow turned sour after getting cautioned in the 89th minute as they were held to a 1-1 draw against the Foal as they continue battle against relegation.

Osimhen whose goals fired Nigeria to the Fifa U17 World Cup in 2015 joined the Bundesliga outfit on a three-year contract from Ultimate Strikers Academy.

He was part of the squad that travelled to Eintracht Frankfurt for their last German topflight encounter but was not used against the Eagles.

Wolfsburg are two points above the relegation zone heading into the final day when they face Hamburger SV.
