It’s right time to be in Eagles says Mikel Agu

By Daily Sports on May 10, 2017

Portugal-based midfielder Mikel Agu has said his invitation to the Super Eagles came at the right time and he hopes to make the most of the chance.

The defensive midfielder, who has previously trained with the country’s U20s and U23s, has been in superlative form for Vitoria Setubal in the Portuguese top flight this season on loan from FC Porto.

The reward was his first-ever call-up to the Super Eagles.

“It is great to be called up,” one-time Copa Coca-Cola MVP Agu told SCORENigeria

“This is the right time and I will try and grab this opportunity.

“It has been a year of countless blessings for me, my girl gave me a son, not quite long i was rewarded with a four-year deal by FC Porto and now above all I got my first invitation to the Super Eagles.

“I want to thank the coaches for this opportunity to play for my country,” an excited Agu said.
