Senegal name loaded squad for Super Eagles

Senegal coach Aliou Cisse has named a crack squad of 26 for the international friendly against Nigeria on 24 March in London.

Liverpool’s Sadio Mane headlines a squad replete with quality players that include Everton’s Idrissa Gana, Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli, Cheikhou Kouyate and giant centre-back Kara Mbodj.

The is the first Teranga Lions call up for Moussa Wague from Eupen, Opa Nguette of Metz and Adama Mbengue of Orlando City in the United States.

Cisse handed maiden call-ups to Moussa Wagué (Eupen), Adama Mbengue (Orlando City) and ex-France under-20 international, Opa Nguette (Metz).

The team will miss the services of Newcastle United midfielder Mohammed Diame, who retired from international football this week.

Senegal were eliminated from the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in the quarterfinals by Cameroon, who went on to win the trophy.
