Akeredolu assures Sunshine Stars over entitlements

By Daily Sports on February 25, 2017

Players and officials of Sunshine Stars have received reassurances from the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Olurotimi Akeredolu, over the outstanding financial entitlements due to them.

Players of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club this week embarked on several protests to the Ondo State Government House to press home their demands.

The players even threatened to boycott their league game against Rivers United in Akure today.

Those threats will, however, no longer be carried out following the reassurances given to players and officials of the club by the sponsor (the Ondo State Government) led by newly sworn-in Governor Akeredolu.

Kayode Olujohungbe, head coach of the Akure Gunners, disclosed this yesterday. (Sunday Sun)
