Abia Warriors' Biffo not getting carried away

By Daily Sports on January 21, 2017

Abia Warriors head coach, Abdullahi Biffo has urged his charges to remain focused, after getting off to a fine start in the Nigerian Professional Football League.

The Umuahia outfit are eager to continue with their excellent start to the season, having recorded wins away to Enugu Rangers and a home win against Katsina United.

According to Biffo, the main target of the team is to secure yet another win in Sagamu.

"This is probably the best way to start a league and it equally steer up pressure of how long a team can keep an unbeaten run. We had a ten match unbeaten run last season so this may be yet another long stretch," Biffo told Goal.

"We won away at Enugu Rangers and we did same at home to Katsina United. It's no doubt a marathon so we aren't carried away with applauds instead we know the importance of focus at this level."

Remo Stars haven't picked up a point this, but Biffo and his Abia Warriors team are ready to compound their woes on match day three.

"Every match is a fresh start for Abia Warriors. We know that Remo Stars is a new team at this level but we must admit that have a lot to offer," he added.

"They may be low on confidence and that's an edge for us which we hope to capitalise on. Our target this weekend is to pick a win in Sagamu.
