Plateau United head coach Kennedy Boboye is confident his side is ready for the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
The former Sunshine Stars coach took charge of Abia Warriors in the early part of the immediate past Nigerian top-flight season before joining the Tin City side for the upcoming top-flight season.
Boboye said his side is blessed and lucky to have the majority of its previous season’s players available for the upcoming NPFL season.
“We are 100 percent ready for the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
“We are lucky to have 85 percent of the players that campaigned in the past season still available to do it for the side in the upcoming season.
“And with the input of the new players showing wonderful zeal to get the season started I strongly believe we have all it takes to kick off our season’s campaign on a successful note.
“I can say confidently that we are ready to go for the new league season,” said the former Sunshine Stars coach to supersport.com.
Boboye said Plateau United hope to start their quest for the NPFL title at newcomers Remo Stars on a positive note.
“We will be confronting newcomers Remo Stars in NPFL matchday 1 clash opener at the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode.
“They are quite new to the terrain but we have spent time watching the side in some of their pre-season matches.
“We will not underrate them but go all out to assert ourselves as well as claim the desired result,” said the former Abia Warriors coach.
