Mali will begin a two-week training camp in Morocco on January 1 as they prepare for their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations campaign.
Coach Alain Giresse confirmed on Monday that the Eagles will tune-up for the continental finals with a camp in the North Africa country.
They will also play a friendly against Burkina Faso in Marrakech on January 7. The Stallions are also camping in Morocco ahead of the AFCON.
Mali’s camp will be based at the ‘Wellness Centre’ in Casablanca and they will only arrive in Gabon on the opening day of the tournament.
The Eagles will open their Group D campaign with a match against Egypt in Port-Gentil on January 17, followed by clashes against Ghana and Uganda on January 21 and 25 respectively.
