Fatma Samoura to attend Africa Beach Soccer Afcon final

Fifa Secretary-General, Fatma Samoura will attend the final of the ongoing Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations on Sunday, December 18 in Lagos, Goal can exclusively report.

Vice President of Beach Soccer World Wide Joan Cusco disclosed on Friday that the world football governing body scribe will arrive in Nigeria on December 18 on a one-day working visit.

"The Fifa secretary general [Fatma Samoura] will be coming for the Beach Soccer Afcon finals on Sunday," Cusco disclosed in Lagos.

Her visit falls on the same day the 2016 annual general assembly of Nigeria Football Federation will be held at Best Western Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Though no confirmation yet on her attendance at the NFF Congress, It will be Samoura’s second visit to Nigeria since accompanying Fifa president Gianni Infantino after serving as UN representative in the country.

Meanwhile, the African World Cup qualifying event ongoing at the Eko Atlantic City Beach have hosts Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt and Morocco progressing to the semi-final stage. (goal.com)
