The Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Vincent Okumagba, says the national team, the Super Eagles, will not lack any form of support as far as boosting their morale on the field of play is concerned.
According Okumagba in exclusive telephone chat with Daily Sports on Thursday, arrangements are in top gear to ensure that Eagles get maximum support to enable them put in their best during the World Cup Qualifying match against the Algerian national team today, Saturday, November 12, 2016 in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.
He revealed to Daily Sports that as we were talking, he was at the airport trying to buy some ticket for some members who will be making the trip to Uyo. He equally disclosed that members of the club would be converging in Uyo from 10th from every part of the country to give the team the necessary support they need to get the job done.
“We are preparing to storm Uyo for the Eagles. I can assure you that arrangements are in top gear to ensure that Super Eagles get maximum support as far as boosting their morale is concerned,” Okumagba began.
Continuing, he said: “As a matter of fact, we speak I am at the airport trying to buy some flight ticket for members for the match. I want to also assure you that as far as boosting their morale is concerned, Eagles will get maximum support from the Supporters Club as usual.
“Again, apart from the flight tickets that I am trying to buy for some members for the match, there is also an arrangement for buses to convey members to Uyo for the game.
“Of course, our member from different state chapters like Kaduna, Kano, and Katsina will storm Uyo to boost the morale of the team. Our members from the Southern part of the country will certainly storm Uyo in their numbers.
“So, we are going to have a full house on that day to give the Eagles the necessary support that will boost their morale to enable them deliver the maximum points.
“Like I said earlier, in this crucial World Cup Qualifying encounter Eagles will get maximum support from the Supporters Club. There will be the usual drumming, singing and dancing that the Supporters Club are known for.
“So we are not leaving anything to chance. We are preparing very seriously for the game. As we speak, the Supporters Club members will start arriving Uyo on the 10th. This is to tell you that we are not leaving anything to chance.”
Speaking further, Okumagba expressed optimism that the Gernot Rohr coached Eagles would be victorious come 12th of this month when the team file out against the Algerians in the crucial World Cup Qualifying match.
“We are very optimistic that Eagles will emerge victorious at the end of 90 minutes hostilities on that day. Everybody involved is aware of the importance the crucial match is for us and with the caliber of players and the technical crew we have at the moment, I believe that Eagles will carry the day at the end of the encounter,” Okumagba enthused
