Algeria’s national team have finally arrived in Uyo ahead of Saturday’s 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
The Fennec Foxes arrived at the Uyo International Airport via a chartered flight at exactly 4:30pm Nigerian time.
They were met by several officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) led by its director of technical, Emmanuel Ikpeme.
The Algeria delegation was then ferried to the Le Meridien Hotel Uyo, where the Super Eagles are also putting up.
Algeria’s Fennec Foxes had trained earlier on Thursday at the National Technical Center of Sidi Moussa, Algiers.
They will have their one and only training session in Nigeria on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo from 5:30pm.
Algeria drew 1-1 with Cameroun in Blida in their opening game of the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign and desperately need a positive result against Nigeria on Saturday to get things back on track. (mtnfootball.com)
