Oghenekaro Etebo has revealed he was one of the last arrivals at the Super Eagles training camp in Abuja due to a late application for his work permit in Portugal.
Etebo and Feirense teammate Dele Alampasu reported to camp Tuesday afternoon in time to be part of the evening training.
“My club did not submit my file to the immigration office in time, but that has now been settled,” said the 20-year-old forward, who single handedly destroyed Algeria U23s for Nigeria to win the U23 AFCON in Senegal in December.
“It was a delay from my club.”
The Rio Olympics hero has thus far made four appearances in the top-flight Portuguese league. (mtnfootball.com)
