Nigeria U20 women team defeated Abees Academy 4-3 in a friendly match played at the Fifa Goal Project pitch, Abuja on Saturday.
Goals from Yetunde Adegboyejo, Tessy Biahwo, Chinaza Uchendu and Charity Chetachukwu helped Peter Dedevbo's side overcome their stubborn opponents.
Favour Akem fired Abees ahead in the third minute, but Adeboyejo slot home the leveler five minutes later to ensure the half time ended 1-1.
In the other half, both sides failed to find a scoring breakthrough until the 70th minute when Biahwo restored the Falconets lead but Davis Solomon equalized eight minutes later.
Uchendu put the national side back in front in the 80th minute and Chetachukwu increased the tally to 4-2 five minutes to full time but Akem's late strike could not deny the Falconets the victory.
The African representatives continue their preparations as they hope to emerge as world champions when the Papua New Guinea 2016 Fifa U20 Women's World Cup begins in November. (goal.com)
