All-time record scorer of the Nigeria league Mfon Udoh has said he is deeply honoured to be listed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for Best Player of 2016 award for players plying their trade in Africa.
The Enyimba striker netted nine times in this year’s CAF Champions League and said he will be fulfilled if he eventually won the award.
"I feel honored to be nominated for the CAF award. I wasn't expecting it, but I feel great and honoured by this recognition,” he said.
"All credit for this goes to God first, my teammates and coaches.
"I will be fulfilled if I win the award at the end."
Another Nigeria striker Chisom Chikatara of Wydad Casablanca from Morocco is among the players nominated for the award.
