Nigeria international, Gbolahan Salami has distinguished himself with his goalscoring prowess by setting a new club goalscoring record with his Finnish club KuPS in his first season.
Salami, who completed a one-year move to the Finnish outfit in February has scored 13 league goals this season to break a record held by Ilja Venalainen (2012) and Peter Sampoalso (2001) with 12 goals each.
The 25-year old increased his goal tally to 13 and set a new milestone with his opener in KuPS 2-0 win over HIFK earlier in the week
With just a game left in the Veikkausliiga, Salami still has some goals in the bag for Marko Rajamäki's men who welcome PS Kemi at the Kuopio Football Stadium on Sunday.
The former Warri Wolves and Shooting Stars forward shared a picture of his topscorer's award on his Instagram page.
"Record award. Thank you God," Salami captioned his picture.
