Abdu Maikaba has parted company with Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club Wikki Tourists.
Maikaba, who guided the club to a third place finish in the just concluded NPFL season, has now left the Bauchi club by mutual consent.
Wikki Tourists chairman Isa Matori, who confirmed the news to supersport.com, stated that Maikaba left because “he wanted a new challenge”.
“Yes, Maikaba has decided to leave Wikki Tourists because he wants a new challenge,” Matori explained.
The club chairman added that the coach will not be poaching any of the club’s top talents like the NPFL’s top scorer last season, Godwin Obaje, as he embarks on his next professional expedition.
“I want to assure our (Wikki Tourists) fans that coach Maikaba will not be leaving with any of our players including Obaje,” he promised.
