Gombe United short list Babaganaru, Maikaba

Former Kano Pillars coach Mohammed Babaganaru and Wikki Tourists handler Abdu Maikaba have been short listed for the top post at promoted Gombe United.

Gombe United have regained their place in the top league after they finished ahead of dreams International FC in their Nigeria National League section.

They won promotion under the charge of former Nigeria U17 coach Abubakar Hassan.

Babaganaru guided Pillars to back-to-back league titles three seasons ago.

He quit his post this past season after Pillars finished a disappointing seventh in the league.

The highly regarded Maikaba, on the other hand, led Wikki to qualify for next year’s CAF Confederation Cup after they narrowly missed out on this the previous term. (mtnfootball.com)
