Maradona names Mourinho, Guardiola rival as favourite manager

By Daily Sports on October 14, 2016

Diego Maradona has named Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as his favourite coach.

Klopp has started his first full season at Anfield in fine form, guiding Liverpool to wins over Arsenal and Chelsea on the way to third in the Premier League table.

The German made his name on the world stage at Dortmund, winning the Bundesliga and reaching the Champions League final.

Klopp’s brand of football has successfully transferred to England and is now rivaling Pep Guardiola’s pre-season title favourites Manchester City and Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United to the league crown.

When asked by Marca which manager he is most impressed by, Maradona replied: “Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

“I love what he conveys. He’s the type that gives me confidence – before at Borussia Dortmund and now in the Premier League. Klopp is always going forward.” (NAN)
