The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday congratulated Nigeria’s Super Eagles over its victory against the Chipolopolo of Zambia during Sunday’s World Cup qualifier encounter.
The PDP in a statement signed by Head, Publicity Division, for the National Publicity Secretary, Adm. Chinwe I. Nnorom, said, the outstanding performance of our Nation’s soccer ambassadors, the Super Eagles has put Nigeria 3 points ahead of Cameroon and Algeria in Group B of the Tournament making the Eagles to top the list in the Group.
The statement reads, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congratulates Nigerian Super Eagles and Nigerians on the 2-1 Win against their Zambian National counterpart, the Chipolopolo in Ndola, Zambia yesterday being Sunday October 9, 2016.
“The outstanding performance of our Nation’s soccer ambassadors, the Super Eagles has put Nigeria 3 points ahead of Cameroon and Algeria in Group B of the Tournament making the Eagles to top the list in the Group.
“We commend the New Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr and his entire team for their wonderful outing in Zambia and urge him to qualify Nigeria for the Final of the Russia 2018 World Cup.
“We also urge the Nigerian Football Federation (NFA) to support the New Technical Team for the overall success of the Super Eagles in the Tournament.
“Congratulations Super Eagles! Long live the PDP!! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!” (NAN)
