‘I want to win the Premier League’ – Iwobi

By Daily Sports on September 29, 2016

Nigeria international Alex Iwobi has reiterated his desire to win the English Premier League title with Arsenal.

The Gunners’ last success in the English topflight came in the 2003-04 season when they went undefeated, and the youngster believes winning the diadem as well as the Champions League title would be amazing.

"Personally, I want to win the Premier League. That would be an amazing feeling,” Iwobi told BBCNewsbeat.

"But for the club the most important one has got to be the Champions League.

"That's the big one, and to win that would be like a dream come true."

Iwobi also disclosed that manager Arsene Wenger is a great manager because of the advice he gives to players.

Under the Frenchman, the Emirates Stadium giants have won six FA Cup titles and three Premier League trophies.

"At the moment, because I'm not really the best at defending, he says I need to treat it how I treat attacking,” he continued.

"And that's something that's really rung true with me. I love attacking, but I hate defending and it's something I need to add to my game."

Iwobi is expected to feature against FC Basel in Wednesday’s Uefa Champions League encounter. (goal.com)
