Nigeria forward Godwin Saviour has been named the star of Week 7 of the Belgian second division after he helped his club to a third straight win at the weekend.
The 20-year-old forward did not score when KSV Roeselare defeated Union Saint-Gilloise 2-1, but he was the best player on the park.
It has been a remarkable progress in three weeks for the Nigeria U23 international after a subdued debut in a 4-1 thrashing at Tubize in Week 4.
Saviour may now have scored two goals, but it has been his overall play that has caught the eye since his arrival from neigbours KV Oostende, who feature in the top league.
He plays with the team and his runs create space for his teammates to operate better.
Thans to his influence, Roeselare are now second on the table with 11 points from seven matches, four points behind leaders Lierse.
Both teams clash at Lierse Sunday morning. (mtnfootball.com)
