Guardiola: Toure must apologise for agent’s comments

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists that he will not pick YayaToure for his team until the Ivorian apologies for comments made by his agent, according to the BBC.

The 33-year-old Toure, who on Tuesday announced his retirement from international football, has been sidelined at the Citizens.

The midfielder has made just one competitive appearance and was left out of Man City’s UEFA Champions League squad.

The player’s agent, DimitriSeluk, reacted to his client’s omission from the European competition by claiming that Toure had been “humiliated” and Guardiola should make a personal apology to him if City do not win the tournament.

In response, the Spanish manager wants an apology from both Toure and his agent.

"He must apologise. If he doesn't, he won't play,” said the City boss.

Guardiola added, “If (Seluk) has a problem, he should speak to people at the club.” (mtnfootball.com)
