The management of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has moved the week 35 match between El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and Heartland Football Club of Owerri to this weekend, Saturday.
The match was to be played on Thursday but Heartland players were involved in an auto accident on their way from Maiduguri airport to their hotel and seven of their players got injured.
Meanwhile the week 36 match between Kano Pillars and El-Kanemi Warriors originally scheduled for this weekend has also been move to next week Wednesday.
According to the team’s Media Manager, “since the Heartland match has been moved to Saturday, we are ready, and thank God no life was lost. So come Saturday, we are going for our full three points, nothing less than that.”
