Slavia Prague reach agreement with Eagles prospect Ayaosi

Czech champions Slavia Prague have reached an agreement to sign Super Eagles prospect Emmanuel Ayaosi from Karvina, securing the Nigerian forward as their first acquisition ahead of the new season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 21-year-old, who has been one of the standout young Nigerians in European football this season, will become the first summer signing at the 22-time Czech champions after Slavia beat competition from Viktoria Plzen and several other interested clubs to land his signature.

According to Footy-Africa, a source close to the player confirmed that all the paperwork had been completed and an official announcement was imminent.

“They have followed him for some time and have now gotten their man. In a matter of days, it will be sorted, as all the paperwork has been completed,” the source told Footy-Africa.

“I can confirm to you that the deal is 100 per cent done, and it is now only a matter of time before they make it official. He is a good player who has been on the radar of many clubs, but Slavia Prague have beaten others to sign him. The player is happy with everything and is looking forward to playing for the champions.”

Ayaosi began his career with Nigeria Premier Football League side Dakkada FC before securing a move to Czech club Karvina in 2023, where he initially joined the under-19 team before forcing his way into the senior squad.

He enjoyed a remarkable 2025/26 campaign, scoring seven goals and registering 10 assists across all competitions, with 12 of those contributions coming in the league alone.

A move had appeared likely during the January window when Viktoria Plzen showed strong interest, but that deal collapsed over a disagreement on valuation.

At Slavia, Ayaosi will link up with fellow Nigerians Igoh Ogbu and David Moses, a familiarity that could ease his transition at the club. He will also have the opportunity to compete in the UEFA Champions League next season as Slavia look to also defend their domestic crown.

The forward will now hope that consistent performances for the Czech champions can help him force his way into Eric Chelle’s Super Eagles reckoning.
