Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has described his time at Galatasaray as the most fulfilling spell of his professional career, after helping the Turkish giants clinch a fourth consecutive Süper Lig title last weekend, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Osimhen scored twice in the decisive 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor that sealed the championship, capping another outstanding individual campaign in which he registered 15 goals and five assists in 20 league appearances.
Speaking on Galatasaray’s official YouTube channel, the Nigerian forward was unrestrained in expressing his satisfaction with life in Istanbul.
“I’m experiencing one of the best periods of my career. I feel great. This is the best so far. I’m experiencing one of the most fulfilling periods of my career,” Osimhen said.
He also praised the collective effort behind the title triumph, saying, “We deservedly lifted the trophies. I’m enjoying it very much, I’m very happy.”
The 27-year-old acknowledged that the challenge would intensify next season as rivals target Galatasaray’s dominance, but struck a defiant tone.
“Next season will be even tougher. All teams want to beat Galatasaray. We will continue to work much harder. We will fight harder. We will do our best to win next season as well,” he said.
Since joining Galatasaray two years ago, Osimhen has been in remarkable form, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances across two seasons while helping the club win three trophies. In the 2024/25 season alone, he registered 26 goals and four assists in 30 league appearances before following that up with his current haul.
His comments come amid intense speculation linking him with a summer move to several of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United, with Galatasaray reported to have placed a €150m price tag on the striker. For now, however, the Super Eagles forward appears fully focused on the club that has brought him back to his best.
