Beyond the fight callouts, Portable also used the live session to demand that several celebrities fulfil pledges made to him ahead of the bout. He called on singer KCee and his billionaire brother E-Money — who had gifted Carter Efe N50 million on the night for winning — to honour commitments they made to him before the fight. He also asked singer Timaya to gift him a Ferrari the DM Records founder had brought to the event.

It has been a turbulent week for Portable since the loss. He has alleged the fight was rigged to protect organisers from paying out N23 billion, which he claimed was wagered on his victory, demanded N200 million in streaming revenue from the event and insisted he was stopped prematurely when he could have continued.

“It was cheating. They couldn’t pay the money, so they rigged it. They couldn’t pay the N23 billion that people bet on me. If Portable wins, they can never pay the money,” he said.

Despite the controversy, Portable found consolation in the birth of his son on the same night as the fight, saying the arrival of his child meant more to him than any belt.

All three judges had scored the bout 27-30 in Efe’s favour, ending Portable’s reign as celebrity boxing champion. The defeat was his first in the celebrity boxing ring, having previously beaten Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington to win two belts.
